Here is a very well maintained, Ed Monk Designed, custom motoryacht built in Canada for it's original owner.  The second owner has had her for 14 years.  She was just completely painted and the trunk cabin to and salon top were fiberglassed.  She is a big roomy yacht perfect for inland cruising and showing off the beautiful woodwork.  The seller is leaving the area and can't take the vessel with him

Accommodations

RAO is a beautiful example of Canadian wood ship building.  She's had countless upgrades from high gloss mahogany wood work, to new engines, fiberglass caps over the house and foredeck.  Boarding from a floating dock there's a roomy cockpit aft. Up six steps and you are on the huge aft deck with forward access to the salon and teak walk-around side decks.  There are rail gates either side for ease of boarding from higher piers and access to the foredeck.  The salon has large windows both sides and aft with a custom TV entertainment center and large flat panel TV to starboard facing the sofa and club chair, port.  The lower helm is to port and has a built in Furuno Radar (12" screen), ComNav Autopilot,

Moving forward and down 4 steps is the roomy galley and dinette.  The galley has Corian counters, 30" GE Dishwasher, double stainless steel sinks, Panasonic Microwave, White Refrigerator, Force 10, 3 burner electric range with oven.  There  is a large dinette table to port and the L-shaped galley is to starboard. 

Forward of the galley and dinette is the forward guest bunk room with head/shower in the V-Berth.

The flying bridge is gained via a ladder from the aft deck.

Deck; Hull

  • Hull tested and any suspect planks were replaced.;notes from the surveyor, "The hull is Carvel built of solid 1 1/2" thick Mahogany.below the water line and red cedar from the waterline up. Hull topsides are splined and the lower sections are caulked.  All fastenings are made of bronze and are original.  She has 2"x4" oak ribs and the keel is of fir.  Decks are made of plywood and over laid with teak planking.  The two level trunk cabin is made of solid Honduras mahogany sides and the roofs were recently overlaid with fiberglass. 
  • Work just completed by Haven Boatworks during 2016 haulout:
  • 5 new planks at bow port and starboard
  • Forward half of port and starboard chine logs replaced
  • New splash guards fitted both sides after removing old splash guards
  • Vessel topsides painted, zinc anodes replaced, new 8VDC house batteries installed. 
  • New benches on fly bridge were fabricated, and new canvas and cushions were added
